JCC METROWEST CHAMBER MUSIC CONCERT SERIES: The Ivalas Quartet from The Juilliard School

Since its inception in 2017, the Ivalas Quartet has been a force in classical music, championing BIPOC composers and earning recognition for their performances and recordings. As the Graduate Resident String Quartet at The Juilliard School and previously under the mentorship of the Takács Quartet at the University of Colorado-Boulder, they have graced stages nationwide at venues like Austin Chamber Music Center and Newport Classical, earning accolades such as winning the grand prize at the Coltman Chamber Music Competition and the WDAV Young Chamber Musicians Competition. Their commitment extends beyond performances to education, coaching students at institutions like The Juilliard School and the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center’s Chamber Music Beginnings program.
