After suffering through painful cancer treatment, Grandma Haya decides to stop eating and taking her medication and to begin organizing her farewell party. Her friends and family try to dissuade her, but Haya is resolute. Her daughter, Miri (the film’s co-director), finds herself caught between her desire to respect her mother’s wishes and her fear of becoming an orphan. Miri also hopes to learn about her father, whom she has never met, while Haya is still able to tell her about him. This documentary depicts challenging decisions about the end of a life with warmth, empathy, and humor.
