Contact Members of Congress:

We respectfully request that you take 2 minutes to send a letter(s) to your Senators and Representatives to thank them for their support for Israel, to ask for help to return the hostages in Gaza home, as well as acknowledging and tackling the rise in antisemitism across the country. Some congressional offices are being bombarded with anti-Israel calls and emails, and it’s important that our voice is heard. Below is a sample letter you can use; this link can help you find your Representative and this link contains information about our Senators.

Dear [Decision Maker],

I am writing to express my heartfelt appreciation for your steadfast support of Israel in the wake of the October 7th terrorist attack and your ongoing commitment to standing with our ally during these challenging times.

Your unwavering dedication to upholding the values of democracy, peace, and security in the Middle East is truly commendable. In light of recent events, I urge you to use your influence to put pressure on all relevant parties to ensure the immediate release of the hostages being held in Gaza. The safety and well-being of these individuals are of utmost importance, and it is imperative that every effort is made to secure their freedom without delay.

Furthermore, I would like to emphasize the importance of combating antisemitism both domestically and internationally. The rise of hateful rhetoric and actions targeting Jewish communities is deeply concerning and requires urgent attention. As a beacon of freedom and tolerance, the United States must take a firm stance against all forms of discrimination and bigotry, including antisemitism.

I urge you to support any measures aimed at condemning and combatting antisemitism within our borders, as well as advocating for policies that promote tolerance, inclusivity, and mutual respect. By working together to address this issue, we can strive towards a society where every individual is treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their religious or ethnic background.

Once again, thank you for your unwavering support of Israel and your dedication to promoting peace and stability in the region. Your leadership on these critical issues is greatly appreciated, and I am grateful to have you representing our interests in Congress.

Sincerely,
[Your Name] [Your Address] [City, State ZIP]

Contact the International Committee of the Red Cross:

Please contact the International Red Cross Committee to demand they visit the hostages being held in Gaza. They have not done so to date. Please see below for a sample letter for you to adjust and send to the head of the ICRC, Mirjana Spoljaric at [email protected].

Dear President Spoljaric,

I am writing to you with a sense of urgency and deep concern regarding the recent hostage situation involving Israeli citizens being held in Gaza. As the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), I implore you to take immediate action and facilitate a visit by ICRC representatives to the hostages in Gaza.

The safety and well-being of these individuals are of paramount importance, and it is imperative that they receive the necessary humanitarian assistance and protection. Given the ICRC’s mandate to ensure respect for international humanitarian law and provide assistance to those affected by conflict, I urge you to prioritize this urgent matter and mobilize all available resources to facilitate access to the hostages.

By conducting a visit to the hostages in Gaza, the ICRC can assess their conditions, provide essential humanitarian aid, and advocate for their immediate release. Furthermore, such a visit would demonstrate the ICRC’s commitment to upholding the principles of neutrality, impartiality, and humanity in the face of humanitarian crises.

I understand the complexities and challenges involved in accessing areas affected by conflict, but I urge you to use your influence and diplomatic channels to negotiate safe and unrestricted access to the hostages in Gaza. Every effort must be made to ensure that they receive the assistance and protection they desperately need.

I trust in the ICRC’s unwavering commitment to humanitarian action and call upon you to demonstrate leadership and compassion in addressing this urgent humanitarian crisis. The international community is counting on the ICRC to uphold its mandate and provide assistance to those most in need, regardless of their nationality or political affiliation.

Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I eagerly await your prompt response and decisive action on behalf of the Israeli hostages in Gaza.

Sincerely, [Your Name]
