Founded in 2000 by Caren and Herbert Ford and now in its 26th year, the Malvin & Greta Roesch New Jersey Jewish Film Festival has become one of the premier Jewish cultural events in the state. We screen award-winning premieres and first-run Israeli, American, and international films of Jewish interest, followed by thought-provoking post-screening discussions. In addition to our springtime festival, JCC MetroWest offers J-Films programming throughout the year.

The 26th Annual Malvin & Greta Roesch New Jersey Jewish Film Festival will run March 5 – March 22, 2026.

Sponsor and Festival Supporter Pass holder seating will begin 30 minutes prior to all screenings. General admission ticket holders will be admitted 20 minutes prior to all screenings. In the event of a sell-out, a wait list will be created for any further sales.

No, the 2026 festival is fully in-person at JCC MetroWest. The combination of low interest in virtual films during the 2023 festival and film distributors avoiding virtual screenings brings us back to a fully in-person festival. Virtual/Zoom events may be scheduled for J-Films (year-round film events at JCC MetroWest) in the future.

Those Q&As with filmmakers and other speakers, after the films are over, will take place in person, inside our theater. We are using Zoom to connect our live audience with speakers in other locations. You must be inside the theater to participate in these Q&As; there will not be remote access to them.

A “Zoom Q&A” means filmmakers and other speakers will connect with our in-person audience on Zoom, inside the JCC’s theater. You must be present in the theater to participate in these Q&As; there will not be remote access to them.

Film festival sponsors and Festival Supporter Pass holders are granted admission to every festival screening, plus any additional events exclusive for sponsors. We ask that sponsors and Festival Supporter pass holders register in advance for the screenings they wish to attend, in order to ensure we have enough seats available for them and for the general public. Registration is set up through a website that is provided only to sponsors and Festival Supporter Pass holders.

Yes! We call that a Festival Supporter Pass, which includes admission to every NJJFF film, advance seating at each film, and admission to exclusive events. Please find more information on Festival supporter passes here.

Tickets can be purchased online, with a credit card, at our Eventbrite box office. Service fees apply to Eventbrite orders.

Eventbrite does not allow users to check out for multiple events at the same time (it’s a universal safety feature on their site). So, if you want to buy tickets for more than one film, you will need to check out separately for each film. Thank you for your patience with that process.

There is no need to print your Eventbrite tickets or show them at the door – we operate off a will-call list of names. You only need to give your name to get admission to your film(s).

No service fees will be charged for tickets purchased in person with cash or check. We are not able to process credit cards in person — please use EventBrite if you wish to pay with a credit card.

No, we are operating off a will-call list of names for each screening. Please just approach the ticketholder table and give your name, and we will admit you to the theater.

If a film sells out, we will offer a wait list for available seats (seat availability depends upon the number of festival sponsors and Festival Supporter Pass holders who attend a given film). To join the wait list, you must be present at the time of seating, 5-10 minutes before showtime, in order to claim your seat. There is no charge to join the wait list, but you must purchase a ticket to claim the seat. A wait list opens for enrollment 30 minutes before that film screening.

There is no reserved seating in the Maurice Levin Theater at JCC MetroWest. Seating is first-come, first-served. Theater doors open for film festival sponsors and Festival Supporter Pass holders 30 minutes before every film. Ticket holders are admitted to the theater 20 minutes before every film.

The Maurice Levin Theater has ample seating for guests with wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility devices in the two center rows of the theater and in open areas at the rear of the theater.

When you turn off Northfield Avenue and into JCC MetroWest’s driveway (from either direction), please make a left turn into the garage and find an available parking spot. Please then use the stairs or elevator inside our garage to exit at the ground floor – please note that guests using wheelchairs or walkers should be dropped off at the theater doors. You can then cross the driveway to enter our theater through the big glass doors. In the unlikely event that the parking garage is full, additional parking is available up the hill from the parking garage, behind the JCC building.

If you are using a wheelchair or dropping off a guest using a wheelchair at the theater entrance, you should take the second left turn (past the garage entrance) into the driveway that approaches our theater entrance. A guest using a wheelchair can then access the theater doors without having to climb stairs. A driver should then drive away from the theater doors and make the next left turn into the parking garage. There is no parking allowed on the driveway by the theater doors.
