Dana Gottfried

Director, Camp Deeny Riback

Hi, my name is Dana, and I am proud to serve as the Director of JCC MetroWest’s Camp Deeny Riback. I’ve spent more than 20 years in the camping world, but my love for camp began long before that. Growing up in South Carolina and spending my summers in the mountains of North Carolina is where I discovered the joy, growth, and community that only camp can inspire.

At Camp Deeny Riback, we believe every camper deserves the very best that camp has to offer. Rooted in the traditions and values of Jewish camping, our program is designed to nurture a sense of belonging, celebrate community, and inspire curiosity about Jewish culture, identity, and Israel. Our team is committed to creating a warm, energetic, and inclusive environment where children feel supported as they learn, grow, and shine.

Summer should be filled with fun in the sun, but it’s also a powerful time for campers to build lifelong skills, confidence, and friendships. Through Jewish values like kindness, responsibility, and community, we help guide campers as they develop into thoughtful, resilient, and joyful young people.

We understand that parents have a lot on their minds when choosing a camp: safety, friendship, meaningful experiences, and the overall well-being of their children. At Camp Deeny Riback, we take that responsibility to heart. We do whatever it takes to ensure that each camper is cared for, included, challenged, and celebrated. Your child won’t just have fun — they’ll come home with new skills, new confidence, a deeper connection to Jewish values, and new friends. And that’s something every parent can feel good about.

We look forward to building a strong, lasting connection between your family and our camp family. Here’s to an unforgettable summer together.
