Early Childhood Preschool

Preschool

Our Early Childhood Center provides a joyful and enriching preschool experience where young learners thrive. Through play, exploration, and real-world learning opportunities, we support each child’s social, emotional, and cognitive development. Guided by Jewish values and traditions, our educators create a nurturing space where children build strong friendships, develop a love of learning, and gain the confidence to succeed in kindergarten and beyond.

Infants & Toddlers

Our cozy and caring Infant & Toddler programs give your little one the best start! With a small teacher-to-baby ratio, each child gets the love and attention they need in a clean, engaging space. Through gentle interactions, sensory play, and lots of snuggles, we support their early development—making sure they feel safe, happy, and have rich experiences, along with being totally adored every step of the way!

2’s Class

Our JCC 2’s program is where little learners start finding their voices and making big discoveries! Surrounded by books and playful exploration, they build language skills while figuring out fun concepts like cause and effect, sorting, and problem-solving. Through creative art, movement, and hands-on activities, they strengthen motor skills, dive into storytelling, and explore colors, shapes, and numbers—all in a warm, nurturing environment that makes every day an adventure! Ready to toilet-train? We are your partners.

3’s Class

Our JCC 3’s program is where young children start gaining big-kid independence! In a warm and engaging environment, they learn to tackle self-care skills, follow routines, and express themselves with confidence. Through play, they dive into literacy, writing and math, while sharpening motor skills and making new friends. With teamwork, empathy, and a sprinkle of Jewish traditions, they build a strong foundation for learning—one joyful milestone at a time!

4’s Class

Our JCC 4’s program is where big kids get ready for the big world of kindergarten! With a mix of curiosity, creativity, and a little problem-solving magic, they tackle early math, literacy, and critical thinking skills. Socially, they sharpen their negotiation skills, self-advocacy, empathy and build confidence through small and large group dynamics and play. With our dedicated teachers cheering them on, they’ll be more than ready for their next big adventure!

Bridge 2 Kindergarten Class

For children who miss the Oct. 1 cut off or for those who could use an extra year before entering Kindergarten – we have the solution. A slightly accelerated academic program meets the children where they are at and keeps them honing their skill and progressing at their pace. Also great for children who have done Public 3’s but don’t want to be in a mixed class with young 3s for their last pre-k year.

FAQs

The ECC prioritizes a responsive classroom, a “yes” environment, where children are respected and their curiosity valued.  Our co-constructed, emergent curriculum allows time and space for children to learn through play. More than that – the educational domains are woven into areas of inquiry that the children are interested in.  This creates an individualized learning experience and helps children develop critical thinking skills and empathy. We believe that is the way to lay the foundation for children to love learning.  We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy of authenticity and thoughtful environments.   This creates an individualized learning experience and helps children develop critical thinking skills and empathy.

  • Morning Meeting, Hello songs, learning about the day in front of them, hearing from children, and what they want to talk about
  • Children go outside and have a healthy snack 2x daily. Most classes have lunch around 12pm and rest or nap after lunch.  Their free play is time for teachers and children to engage and play together. Parents of infants partner with their Educarers to set the schedule.
  • Infants and toddlers will have 1x weekly Gymboree, Twos and up will enjoy a nature, gym, creative expression is child led. Three’s and up will enjoy all that and weekly swim instruction.  All children will enjoy the sing-a-long and Shabbat celebration.

No, you do not have to be Jewish to attend. Our Early Childhood Center is rooted in Jewish values and traditions, which are woven into our daily activities and cultural programs. However, we welcome families of all backgrounds, and our diverse community ensures that every child and staff member feel included and comfortable. We are always happy to honor the home culture and traditions of any student.

Our parents are part of what makes our pre-school program special! We encourage (but don’t require!) parent participation in holidays, provide opportunities to volunteer for various ECC events and schedule fun events that enable families to mix and mingle during and after regular class hours.

Greater MetroWest (GMW) Right Start provides a $1,000 gift voucher toward the cost of tuition for families enrolling their children in a Jewish 2-year-old school program for the first time. The JCC does have a scholarship fund based on need.  Applications are available upon request.
