Spend the Day in New York City
The Frick Collection • Grand Central Station
Visit several special exhibits on display at the Frick Collection. Explore the work of sculptor Edmund de Waal. Acclaimed as both an artist and writer, this project marks the first such installation done by de Waal in the United States. Next, discover the first exhibition to focus on the Florentine sculptor Bertoldo di Giovanni in a monographic display of more than twenty statues, reliefs, medals, and statuettes highlighting the ingenuity of the sculptor’s design across media. Finally, we will see three Manet canvases Still Life with Fish and Shrimp, The Ragpicker and Madame Manet in addition to the permanent collection. Grand Central Terminal, a masterpiece of architecture, is our next stop for a late lunch on your own in one of the many restaurants and food court options. There will be time to explore.
