PURCHASE TICKETSArnon (Adir Miller, The Monkey House and The Matchmaker) is a religious man who shares a strong bond with his mother, Violetta (Tikva Dayan, Seven Blessings), a Holocaust survivor from Hungary. He drives her to deliver lectures at schools, where she tells students how she saved her baby boy and herself by bribing a Hungarian soldier with her gold ring. When Violetta’s health deteriorates, Arnon and his estranged daughter, Alma (Joy Rieger, Arugam Bay and The Other Story), travel to her hometown of Budapest to search for the mythological ring that saved her life, hoping that the recovered ring will save her one more time. The Ring is Adir Miller’s first feature film as writer and co-director, based on his family’s true story of survival, and it features Miller’s signature blend of wry humor and pathos.
