Just before Christmas in 1942, a husband and wife, fighters in the Norwegian resistance, are arrested, leaving their 10-year-old daughter Gerda and her younger brother, Otto, on their own. When the siblings discover two Jewish children, Sarah and Daniel, hidden in the basement of their home, they must finish their parents’ mission: to help Sarah and Daniel flee from the Nazis, cross the border to neutral Sweden, and reunite them with their parents.
