Documentary
The Dead Sea – shared by Israelis, Jordanians and Palestinians – is the world’s deepest saltwater lake, known for its unique ecosystem, therapeutic minerals, and spectacular landscape. It is also the lowest point on Earth. Tragically, the Dead Sea is drying up, causing widespread damage, including huge sinkholes, abandoned beaches, and collapsing roads. This is not an act of nature; it is the result of overconsumption and poor water management. To save the Dead Sea, the surrounding countries must work together. Three people – a Jordanian, a Jewish Israeli and a Palestinian – feel they must take action. They decide to embark on an unprecedented, extremely dangerous swim across the Dead Sea, from Israel to Jordan, to draw the world’s attention to the plight of the vanishing sea.
