For years, Alegria distanced herself from her Sephardi Jewish heritage and her past. But she reluctantly returns home to Melilla, a Moroccan port city where Christian, Jewish, and Muslim cultures converge, for her niece’s wedding. As chaotic preparations unfold, Alegria and the diverse women gathered for the event test the bonds of family and friendship and begin to recognize the love and strength that binds them.
