In Rome, in the attic of her home, a teen finds an old picture of Sarah Cohen, a Jewish girl whose family was killed by the Nazis. She enlists a group of students, Christians, and Jews, to embark on a mission: to unravel the story of the girl in the picture. On their journey, they retrace a night of horror: the Nazi liquidation of the Roman Ghetto. What the students learn inspires them to acknowledge a historic truth: that indifference is worse than hatred.
