Picking up where sold-out 2024 NJJFF hit Matchmaking left off, Moti and Nechama navigate their next steps, while his friend, Baruch (Maor Schweitzer, also seen at the 2024 NJJFF in Arugam Bay), embarks on his own quest for marriage. Caught between his infatuation with his boss’s daughter and a match with an endearing baker, Baruch must reconcile his own disappointments and insecurities to find happiness. Matchmaking 2 reunites the award-winning filmmaking team behind Matchmaking (including actors Reymonde Amsellem, Roy Assaf, Amit Rahav, and Irit Kaplan) and pulls off one of the rarest feats in filmmaking: a comedy sequel that is both deeper and funnier than its predecessor.
