Canceled: Martin Fletcher

Notice this event has been canceled.

A sweeping family saga set against the founding of Israel, Promised Land: A Novel of Israel begins when one brother is sent west to America to escape the Nazis and the other is sent east to the death camps. They reunite in the nascent Jewish state, where one becomes a successful businessman and the other, a top Mossad agent. As their new homeland faces extraordinary obstacles, the brothers’ intrigues and jealousies threaten to tear their lives apart.

Martin Fletcher spent many years as the NBC News Bureau Chief in Tel Aviv and has won numerous awards, including the National Jewish Book Award, a Columbia University DuPont Award, several Overseas Press Club Awards, and five Emmys.

The JCC Book Group will be discussing Promised Land on Tuesday, April 9 at 12 noon at the JCC. Please join us for the discussion two days before Mr. Fletcher’s appearance. The Book Group is free and open to all.
