November 30, 2022 @ 1:00 pm
JOHN KENRICK– John gives talks on theatre and film history, has appeared in numerous documentaries and is the author of Musicals101.com, The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Amateur Theatricals, and the textbook Musical Theatre: A History. He has taught at New York University’s Steinhardt School, The New School University, Marymount College Manhattan, The Philadelphia University of the Arts, Wagner College, Molloy College, and Pace University.
If you’ve ever wondered why seeing a Broadway show costs more than air fare to Florida, theater historian and former producer’s assistant John Kenrick has the answers in this multi-media talk. He pulls back the curtain, giving an insider’s view with historic examples as well as memories of productions John worked on. A frank but affectionate look at the business side of “the fabulous invalid,” Broadway.
