J-Films Presents: Israeli Film Seminar

July 22 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Join Stuart Weinstock, JCC MetroWest’s Director of Film Programming, for an eye-opening journey into the world of Israeli film. In this 3-part seminar, you’ll dive into film clips and guided discussion—no prior experience with Israeli cinema required.

Whether you’re brand new to Israeli content, a Shtisel or Fauda fan, or a longtime NJJFF attendee looking to go deeper, this seminar offers something for everyone. Each session explores a different cinematic theme, adapted from Stuart’s established college course, and tailored exclusively for our small group—just 17 seats available!

  • Coffee & tea provided
  • JCC MetroWest, Goldstein Center for Israel and the Diaspora

Seminar Schedule (Noon–1:30 PM, bring your lunch!):

Tues, July 22 – The Aughts: Israeli Cinema’s Global Moment 1
Tues, July 29 – The Aughts: Israeli Cinema’s Global Moment 2
Tues, Aug 5 – The Legacy of the Holocaust in Israeli Cinema
(All new topics not covered in previous seminar)

3-session package: $60 Member / $75 Non-Member

All seats in this summer’s class are claimed! Please register if you’d like to join the wait list — if there are any cancellations, we will offer the seats on a first-registered, first-served basis.
