Global Power Shifts: New Directions for American Foreign Policy

Freda Mayers Memorial Lecture
Global Power Shifts: New Directions for American Foreign Policy

This presentation will discuss major shifts of power characterizing the current and future international system. Attention will focus on China’s challenge to American global preeminence, the rise of Eurasia and Russia’s efforts to reestablish its sphere of influence.
Two dangers now stand out: war and weapons proliferation, including cyberwar. Douglas Simon is Professor Emeritus of political science at Drew University where he specialized in international affairs, U.S. foreign policy, international organization and national security.

$8 NCJW/JCC Member; $12 Guest

This lecture is dedicated in memory of Freda Mayers thanks to the generosity of her family. Freda was an integral part of the Life Long Learning Committee for decades.
