Cookies for Life (Rachel From Ofakim)

When five terrorists invaded her home on October 7, Rachel Edri talked with them, fed them cookies, and ingeniously saved her life and her husband’s life, becoming an Israeli folk hero in the process. Zohar Wagner’s fascinating documentary reconstructs those events with the participation of Rachel and her son, Evyatar, a police officer in Ofakim.

Following the film, director Zohar Wagner will join us for a Q&A on Zoom to discuss her innovative production process and Ariel Erani from Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest will join us to discuss Ofakim’s recovery from October 7 and Federation’s ongoing relationship with Ofakim, our partner community in Israel.
