When Hazel Blum’s father gets a tenured job at a prestigious college, she and her family relocate from Brooklyn to a remote college town in Maine. They attempt to acclimate to their new lives and connect with the town’s sprawling community, On Hazel’s first day of senior year, her principal propositions her, setting off a chain of events that will affect the whole family.
