Mifgash (The Encounter)
Mifgash
Grades 10 - 11

Mifgash (The Encounter) is a high school leadership program for
grades 10-11 linking teens in our MetroWest community with teens in our sister community of Ofakim/Merchavim in the Negev. Teens from MetroWest and Ofakim/Merchavim will learn from one another about Jewish identity, pluralism, the current situation in Israel, and so much more-as they make friendships that will last a lifetime. Their 18 month commitment to Mifgash will include a videoconference, workshops, and two ten day experiences. The two dimensions of this program, interpersonal and intercultural, work together to create a life-changing experience. Our teens will first go to Israel to live with families and then teens from Israel will come to the US to live with our families.
