Inclusive Camp Opportunities
We work with families to provide individualized camp opportunities for chidren with special needs to attend summer camp with their typical peers. Our Camp Friends Program at Camp Deeny Riback in Flanders provides children who have special needs with a one to one shadow counselor to help each child to fully maximize his or her experience. Shadow counselors are typically teens or college students. Shadow programs are also available in the JCC's Early Childhood Camps, Explorations Camp and Triple Threat Theatre Camp, both of which are located at the Cooperman JCC in West Orange. Enrollment is limited. Interview and complete intake process required for admission to the program.
