Lifeguard Training

Ages 15 to Adult

Class and pool work. CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid included. American Red Cross Certification awarded upon successful completion.

Prerequisite: continuously swim 300 yds. using crawl and breast stroke;timed 20 yd. swim & brick retrieval from 7-10 ft,and return to starting point. Participants must by 15 by completion of the course. Attendance at all sessions is mandatory.

Adult /Child CPR/AED Training

This course trains individuals to recognize and care for life threatening respiratory and cardiac emergencies in adults and children us by using rescue breathing, CPR and AED equipment.

Infant CPR

This course teaches individuals how to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in infants by using rescue breathing and CPR.

First Aid Basics

The First Aid Course will give individual the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic first aid care for injuries and sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. This course does not include breathing or cardiac emergencies.

Babysitting Training Course

What you need to know and what every parent wants in a responsible babysitter! Learn how to perform first aid, handle bedtime issues, prevent injuries and be prepared if an emergency does happen; learn diapering and feeding techniques and more!!! Must be 11 years old at completion of the class. Conducted by an American Red Cross authorized instructor. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive American Red Cross Certification in Babysitter's Training.

Water Safety Instructor (WSI)

Ages 16-Adult

Upon successful completion of required skills, students will be certified to teach a variety of classes for infants through adults. The class also includes the American Red Cross Fundamentals of Instructor (FIT) Training course.

Prerequisites: Participants must be 16 by the completion of the course.
Demonstrate the ability to perform the following swimming skills:
25 yards each of Front Crawl, Back Crawl, Breast Stroke, Elementary Backstroke, and Side Stroke. 15 yards of Butterfly. Maintain position on back in deep water and treading water for 1 minute each.

Lifeguard Instructor

Ages 17-Adult

This course is for those who wish to train and certify others in Lifeguard Training and CPR for the Professional Rescuer. Will include AED, O2,and Preventing Disease Transmission. Participants must be 17 by the completion of the course.
