By bringing Israel into the hearts of the people, we hope to enhance their love of our heritage, increase their involvement in the community, and nourish their sould to ensure Jewish continuity.

Free Trip to ISRAEL

UJC MetroWest invites young adults age 18-26 on a once in a lifetime Israel experience.

This free 10 day trip is a gift of Taglit Birthright-Israel. See Jerusalem, climb Masada, and visit Tel Aviv.

Summer 2012 registration opens in February for Taglit-Birthright Israel trips from North America.

Did you know that we offer grant funds for high school students participating on educational peer group trips to Israel? Is your synagogue or organization planning a trip to Israel? Are you interested in learning about MetroWest's overseas partnerships? Would you like to have a speaker address your group about Israeli issues? Interested in hosting a member of a visiting Israeli delegation? Did you know that the Israel Program Center organizes social events and activities for young adults ages 18-30?

Programs for College Students

College Students-want to do something meaningful in the future? Volunteer at a summer camp in MetroWest's partnership communities in Israel or Ukraine. Space is limited, so apply today!

Diller Teen Fellows

Are you ready to learn from, and have fun with, other outstanding teens from MetroWest? Interested in creating friendships with Israeli teens, hosting them, and visiting Israel? Dedicated to leadership and community service?

The Fellowship...

includes a series of workshops and 3 Shabbaton retreats

  • a mifgash encounter in NJ with the Israeli Diller Fellows from Rishon LeZion
  • a comprehensive community service project
  • a three-week summer seminar in Israel

Kefiada:

Volunteer with other MetroWest college students as a counselor in an English-language day camp for children in our partnership community of Ofakim, Israel. Educational training is provided and most expenses are covered. Program length is approximately four weeks.

Cherkassy:

Volunteer with other MetroWest and Israeli college students as a counselor in a summer family camp in our partnership community of Cherkassy, Ukraine. Educational training is provided in Israel and most expenses are covered. Program length is approximately three weeks.

Masa Israel Journey:

If you're interested in a semester or long-term Israel experience, please contact us. There are many educational, internship, and volunteer programs available. We'll help you find the one that's right for you!

Mifgash: The Encounter

Teen participants from MetroWest and our partner communities in Israel meet each other through video conferences and two week-long shared experiences; one in Israel and one here in NJ. This program requires a participation fee of $1200, which includes travel to Israel.
