Learn how to play the most popular game ever invented: the game of strategy and problem solving! Beginner students will learn 1) All the chess pieces and how they move 2) Special moves (castling, en passant) 3) Key chess tactics such as such as Pins, Forks, Double Attacks, Skewers, Discovered Checks 4) Basic Opening Theory and Defense Strategies. Intermediate and Advanced Students will focus on 1) Opening, Middle Game and End Game Strategies.

It doesn't matter if you know a little or a lot about cooking! This program is about having fun in the kitchen, trying new foods, and learning to create tasty treats. We'll make everything from breakfast to dinner, and more! Cooking is an adventure. Come join the fun! For Grades K-5!

Eyes of the Wild - CJ-CH310WEW

New animals this session!  Meet Animals from around the world! Enjoy gentle hands on experiences with small, non-threatening animals such as skunks, parrots, armadillos, wallabies and many surprises! Behaviors, habitats, adaptations, survival strategies, and relationships with humans are introduced using charming stories about these unique animals. Welcome to the animal kingdom! For Grades K-5!

Crime Scene Investigation - CJ-CH310HCSI

Do you love mysteries and solving crimes? Are you great at deciphering puzzles? Then join us as we lift fingerprints, detect hidden blood samples, and explore other ways to crack crimes. Each week we will discover a new forensic technique and gather evidence. Add up the clues, and you will solve the mystery! For Grades K-5!

FRIDAYS:

Shabbat Club - CJ-CH310FSH

Come celebrate shabbat at the JCC.  We will read shabbat stories, sing shabbat songs, eat challah, learn the prayers and so much more!  This is a great program to help kids discover the joy of Shabbat!
