With the addition of a series of ramps and two new elevators, the JCC is now fully accessible to the handicapped.* Our new 300-space parking garage has eight handicapped parking spaces. We also have eight parking spaces in our outdoor parking lot with convenient access to the building.
To reach the JCC by accessible public transportation, dial Metro Transport at Daughters of Israel at 973-325-1359 or visit Access Link at http://www.njtransit.com/as_al.shtml. Access Link is NJ TRANSIT’s paratransit service for people with a disability that prevents them from using the local fixed route bus service.
JCC MetroWest strives to ensure access and meaningful participation by all
members of the community.
Gaelen Center for the Arts
All programs in the Maurice Levin Theater are wheelchair, hearing and visually accessible.
The Maurice Levin Theater at the Leon & Toby Cooperman JCC offers integrated seating for patrons in wheelchairs. We offer barrier-free access for members and guests using wheelchairs or walkers. Handicapped parking spaces are conveniently located and restroom facilities are accessible directly across from the theater.
An infra-red hearing system to help with amplification and clarity is available for members and guests with hearing loss. An adjustable volume control allows the flexibility of sitting anywhere in the theater while using the headsets. Headsets are available at the Box Office Desk in the theater lobby prior to performances. A driver’s license or major credit card is required until the headset is returned.
At a minimum of two weeks request, Center for the Arts can make available large print or electronic versions of playbills, brochures, and other marketing materials.
Some performances offer sign interpretation. For information on upcoming performances, please contact the Box Office at 973-530-3444.
*There are a few small exceptions where alternate access is available.
